Laundry. So Much Laundry.

It’s better to have loved and lost than to have to do forty pounds of laundry a week. ~ Laurence J. Peter

Today I’m feeling particularly thankful for modern laundry facilities.

This is because so very, very many of our washable (and not so washable — “Into the lingerie bag, Sausage’s Lovey, and we’ll see how you come out!”) items have been covered in vomit in the last 48 hours.

And you know what? I can just toss them into a machine with some soap, and they become clean again. Like magic!

I have a dryer, and it renders this stock photo charmingly archaic. Tra la! (Photo via sxc.hu by evink.)

So that’s a large part of what I’ll be doing this evening, and after three days of interrupted sleep and worry over my little one, it’s pretty much all I’ve got the energy for right now.

So that’s your post for the day.

The End.
